I can't believe you are still thinking about them.
I was hosted there and I was trying to move my sites before they finally folded. When your host stops answering emails then it's time to haul ass in a hurry. Don't ever make that mistake again.
You're right though, they should have emailed an annoucenment or posted on some boards. At least you got your servers so that's one bright spot. We all lost our money though, I was only a couple days into my new billing cycle. I guess that's why they bolted so I couldn't ask for a refund.
