Think about 'scaling'...
If you have a site with 100 members, your not gonna wanna spend out on production, as you will get little return.
But if you have 5000 members, you'll get your return, just by producing new content - EVEN IF DOES GET STOLEN - Cause you are earning much more than you are spending to keep YOUR members happy...
The guy with 5000 members looks at his stuff being stolen as 'free promo ads' (Cutting out affiliates)
The guy with 100 members cries buckets about the tubes...
Go figure... And, FWIW, I DO come from a production background...
