Schools have rules these days that we didn't when we were kids. Deal with it.
Don't like it? Then homeschool your precious darlings and they can wear any damn shirt they want and everyone can quit bitching about rights.
Newsflash: teachers don't just teach, part of their job is and always has been to enforce rules and keep an orderly classroom. Notice I said 'enforce' and not 'create'.
