This is where we agree. If you take the Old Testament at face value , men are allowed to kill their wives for looking at another man and we would be stoning people to death, cutting off their hands if they stole, poking out peoples eyeballs, need I go on? ...The bible, if taken (LITERALLY) is actually quite supportive of violence. HOWEVER, hardly anyone reads it and thinks they can go kill their neighbor for stealing their goat.
