it's no different than what the legal system did/planned to do to aron swartz, co-founder of reddit, they threw the book at that kid- 35 years in jail and $1m in fines they were seeking, for his d/l docs from mit that were in the public domain to begin with. that's not justice, that's punitive and vindictive and just plain wrong. end result, the kid freaked out and committed suicide.
