wtf does that have to do with the 'right' to force someone else to think a thought, or have a belief? You're missing my point so much that I'm starting to believe you're doing so on purpose.

Just because someone has a thought or belief that the majority of people disagree with, it doesn't give anyone the right to tell that person what to think or believe. Your own example above proves that even though it's illegal for gays to marry (in some places), the belief and/or thoughts of those gays isn't illegal. When at whatever point in the future it is illegal to *stop* gays from getting married, the belief of those against gay marriage still won't, and nor should it, be a crime. Put those thoughts/beliefs into actions though, and then it becomes, quite rightly, a crime.

The 'crime' I'm assuming (though you did warn me about that earlier) you are trying to point out, is the act of it being illegal for gays to marry in certain parts of the world. Again, that is an action, rather than just a mere thought/belief.
