For the record, I never claimed that it did not sound effiminate..lol.
I made the nick up back in 1994 when I needed a username for swbell. I glanced down at my desk and one of my business cards was laying there and I decided that hatteras backwards would be an easy name to remember. I started using it and for a very long while, until sometime in the mid 2000s if you searched for sarettah all you found was me.
Sometime in there other people started using it and I found out that it is apparently an Italian version of Sarah.
Decided I did not care ;p
But it has caused me to have to explain some across the past ten years or so:
