While I see the point you're trying to make, it's a bad example. In the case you're presenting, YES it is still a cross...AND it's still part of Christianity. If it's upside then it's devil worship, the devil is part of that religion, therefore same thing. Also, an inverted CROSS by definition is still a cross.
