At least in Venezuela being gay is very looked down upon, so there is so many closet gays with wife and kids, there is so many married man that have a male lover on the side and lots of underground sex encounters take place all the time.
So, it does make sense that the most searches would be for gay terms, I'm guessing it is a similar case for Peru and Chile.
