US support of Israel relies on two groups presently:
-> Right wing Christians who believe the Jews living in Israel are the decedents of the "children of Israel" talked about in the Bible (and it is thus our duty to God to protect Israel financially and militarily).
-> Americans who don't give a damn about the religious angle, but aren't exposed to enough news shedding Israel in a negative light to call for a stop in funding.

An aging population and the explosion of information online effects those two groups greatly in regards to the Israeli financial aide situation.
