I couldn't care less if he thanked the waiter and/or failed to go back and say hi to the waiters and cooks and staff. Clinton loves to campaign so hearing that he does that doesn't shock me. Clinton could also just be back there trying to score some weed or hit on a waitress too
The thing this guy said that I do agree with is that you shouldn't have to spend $50K to find out how a candidate really feels about a subject.
