In that ex-company and "tube thing" perspective and with that explanation i get more your comment..
A problem with tubes and about the piracy content issue it can go from to 0%to 100% legit, and there is no such official/stats list to know where they stand, the other thing is when its not 100% legit, is it user upload or in house upload ??
Some people tend to put all them in the same basket...
Also tubes (legit or not) may have harm some affiliates or content sponsors business, but they also generate a lot of sales to others paysites with videos but mostly from the ads/pop ...
Sure thing they are there now and they will stay, so the best is to find a way to monetize it, either by buying ads/traffic or upload or any kind of deal...
