If you live in warm nice weather then get a place by the pool/spa so you can cruise over all the time.

Depends though on what you are after, if you are like me when I first moved out I spent 99% of my time at friends places so it was a waste of my money to have a nice place since I was just there to sleep. But if you want friends over all the time then get a nicer place.

I agree on the parking thing it should be close and covered that way your car won't get as dirty so fast.
