I don't think $25 per hour qualifies as 'goldmine' though. If that's considered to be high earnings on that site then it's more dire a situation than I thought. In regards to the 'average Jane' thing...I'm not sure if you mean in terms of appearance or in terms of attitude towards work (the latter being an 'average jane' who puts in a couple hours here and there but doesn't really commit real hours to the job)?
If it's the latter then yeah, I'm with kiiiinda you. Lower income potential sites could be a viable option for chicas who work infrequently and don't take the job seriously, in that they simply have less competition from 'professionals' there. If it's the former, all I can say is that one doesn't have to be status quo supermodel gorgeous to bank on a high quality site.
I look at it this way...since chicas face the same risks being on cam (being outed, being recorded, leaving a paper trail that could impact on their job opportunities down the road) whether they earn large or earn pennies, I'd argue it makes more sense to work a site where the $$$$ ceiling is sky high. If she's going to take the risks inherent to camming, she should try to position herself to reap maximum benefit from those risks. While $25 per hour isn't chump change to someone who's only other option is minimum wage, it's not maximum benefits either.
Tonight I clicked onto cam4 for a couple mins and I saw two people in a high placement chatroom full-out fucking on cam with only 20 tokens out of a 150 token goal. Another chica was giving a full free chat toy show with 6 tokens out of a 100 token countdown. I don't even want to know what that works out to in real money. Personally I don't care what any given performer chooses to do on cam for free cuz those types of sites aren't my competition, but they're massively under-selling their own performances.
