Youjizz is a great site from a "consumer" like me's point of view (I know that was a typo!).
But, from an industry standpoint (which I'm also in), that guy's a dick and doesn't give a fuck about content producers/rights owners
Yes, tubes do money selling traffic to others, not with joins to pay areas or VOD of porn sites, as these got same content the tube shows for free. This is known since like 5-6 years ago, despite someone still open threads about it.
And so, who buys the traffic?
It includes gambling... this is lots of money in countries where licensed - you can't open a gambling site like you open an adult site, you need connections with local governments-mafia of each country. Then the "make money" scams such as stock and binary options or multi level marketing etc.
So no prerecorded content sites? It is true you can see Brazzers banners on Manwin tubes (and some others too) but that's just the own paysite on own tube's unsold inventory. And, they're wasting the $300 million loaned from wall street's christian teachers pension fund, that's not a profit until made $300 million profit over it back.
Also it is true you see other program's adverts but that's people who try and waste own money (as someone may confirm, 1 join every 100,000?), you could say: why people continue to buy paysite ads in tube if this does not convert? Answer: there's always new people who try it and waste money, replacing who wasted before.
There is also adult dating, but with facebook, plentyoffish and such free sites, that's getting hard to have people pay for it, I don't see it as a long term business myself, anyway there adultfriendfinder paid gold the traffic to tubes the first years, again using some $250 million loan, which I believe still have to pay back, so it was not a profit.
Regarding cams, except a majority of new sites launched which tend to waste adverts and fail shortly after (still that's purchased traffic while it lasts), the old big sites are stable, making money from tube traffic. Evidence it is a livejasmin popunder opening in *every* tube page of the world, along with a streamate whitelabel in *every* tube of the world, along with several "never pay again for cams" links proliferated in past 12 months.
