I thought that was the exact statement used to explain that when someone says it, although they think it means they are not racist it shows something else. Meaning that they are in essence deeply rooted in the fact that they sub conciously believe that skin color is a deterministic factor in racism and make decision judgements on it by saying that they ignore it.
i.e the belief that although they are arguing the case in favour of being anti-racist, their premise is that color is actually a factor that needs to be ignored, and that so therefore one color is better than another by stating the fact that they don't care what color a person is. More so when the "white" racial term is included even though only albino's are white skinned.
Perhaps you might be better off with the moral position that you are not a colorist ;)
