That's because 90% of the coupons issued are for processed food items high in sugar, sodium and fat. Also, only a few US states have grocery stores now that accept multiple like coupons on a single order, which is the only way a couponer can have triple digit savings. Those grocery stores tend to be in lower income areas where obesity rates are higher.
