Not that long ago in this country the cops would have calmed everyone down and took them home and/or let them "sleep it off" in jail without booking them.
That doesn't happen anymore. The police are money collectors for the city these days. And if there's a few dollars to take from people with fines and such...they are going to get it.  |
So true, the cops nowdays are just nitpicking and finding ways to fine people. Country cops were the best as they are the ones who would let people "sleep it off" as you mentioned. City cops are the worst.
