Ingredients:
3 pounds ground beef 85/15
1 cup water

1/2 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon pepper
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 bay leaves
crushed red pepper flakes to taste
Directions:
Heat a soup pot to medium heat.
Add in the water and onion flakes.
Add in the ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
Stir in more water if needed.
Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, turmeric, allspice, sweet smoked paprika,
sugars, mustard, and chili powder.
Add bay leaves and crushed peppers, and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low; simmer 90 minutes.
Remove bay leaves, and if you like, using an immersion blender, blend to reach a smooth consistency.

Also - why ketchup + tomato sauce and not just one of them (whichever you like more)?
