First, been a long time, hope you are well.
Now, on the biz question...
No offense, but I think you are asking the wrong question. imho, the question isn't about what site is doing well because there are millions of sites out there and frankly most of the companies that generated tons of ubiquitous sites, chasing a niche or trying to run on usually fading starlet power, are the ones in the most trouble.
So I would be very skeptical of most of the "check this out it is converting like mad" lines. Every day those programs with tons or sites are collapsing under the weight of their own hubris.
BRAND.
That is what makes a difference. You have been around long enough to know a lot more than most. Look at who has survived and thrived and compare it up with the mega progs of yesteryear... the successful sites that have brand forward approaches, not programs with a ton of sites no one gives a crap about after a week of trial membership, that is who continues to do well. Study the brands; look at programs like ATK, Abby Winters, and yes even HGV, and you will get a sense of what I am talking about.
