You can just sell your own re-branded internet access by becoming a reseller. Wholesale dial up accounts are less than $10/month, and you usually don't have to do anything except for the marketing (and tech support in some cases). I have been thinking of setting up a broadband ISP where I live, but it requires a huge investment of both time and money.
The most profitable business online is selling information. Information is rarely a commodity (meaning you can keep your margins up), distribution online is basically free (low overhead). The only costs are the production of the information and the marketing of it. You can produce the information yourself and with some smarts and creativity, marketing can be done cheaply.
Porn is an information business, but it is far from being the only one. I know a guy who sells self-published non-fiction books online (actual physical books, not e-books). He only sells about 20 books a day, but his average gross profit (before marketing expenses) per book is $30. Do the math. This guy makes more than most of the people here, does it all online, and has never had to fuck around submitting to TGPs.
