a) you don't stop pirating. this scam has been around for years, and all it is for is legal blackmailing money out of people who pay for an IP address. absolutely no impact whatsoever on piracy.
b) the example you set is of being a cunt. The backlash against this scam was massive, and all of the mainstream clients using ACS stopped, which is the only reason they turned to porn.

It's not about going to court, love. NONE of this scam letter cases have EVER gone to court, because the idea is just to get people to pay money, not to actually see a trial. Because if they did, they'd have to prove the John Doe who pays for the IP committed a crime, which they can't.
