I knew a lot of people who were surprised when From Dusk Til Dawn turned out to be a vampire flick. Apparently everything they had seen about it suggested it was mainly about Clooney and Tarantino on the lam and taking a family hostage.
And the vampires part made the movie better, right?

I remember being into Woody Allen, and I went to see Small Time Crooks. The trailer showed nothing except that the movie was about a bunch of bumbling crooks trying to rob a bank. When I saw the movie, it was actually nothing like the trailer.

Their plan was to start a bakery next door, so they could drill through the wall. So Woody Allen's wife does the baking for their "fake" bakery and makes these great cookies that everyone in town starts loving. He spends a long time getting his bank robbing plan together, while the bakery starts raking in money. Then suddenly she blows up like the next Martha Stewart and they're rich as fuck and start fighting over money for the rest of the movie. There probably is a trailer that shows them being rich too, but the one I saw had nothing about that.

That was probably when I quit worrying about trailers, and try to know as little as possible about a flick before going in. As long as I hear its good, that's all I want to know.
