For that fight, since I was rising in weight class by 50-60 lbs, I had to just eat, eat, eat for months and do almost no training so I wouldn't lose any weight. It was really hard for me to get all the way up to Heavyweight (I usually fight at 185). The promotion wanted me to be at least 235, since my opponent was 260. I think I made it to 230 or so. LOTS of buffets and McDonalds.

quick conversion for metric people like me
185lb = 84kg
230lb = 104kg
260lb = 118kg (he was a big fucking guy - jesus!)
Well that explains that then.
Why did you want to move up two weight classes? Sounds like a suicide mission to me.
The guys in that classs would train hard and be that weight - ie loads more muscle mass than you would have had at the time. Kind of crazy, would be interested in seeing how you fought at your 185 weight class.
