Why would anyone agree to an NDA if they don't even have a hint of what it is? What if it is something that they are already working on or already know about? You're going to claim that you have the right to their work now and that they stole it?

NDA/Non-Compete's dont hurt anyone that isn't trying to steal your idea, it's just a extra layer of security.
In the case that you sign an NDA for an idea that you've already been working on, obviously you'll have things in place that show the idea was already started before you even signed the NDA, thus covering your ass.
Everyone says NDA/Non-Compete's are worthless, but I bet the Winklevoss twins thought the same thing before Zuckerberg released the first Facebook.
