Police stop thousands of people each day without so much as drawing their weapons.
However, when you are staking out a known felon who is considered armed and dangerous and he jumps out at you, it's a different story.

I don't understand this either.
Last night this was on the news, which was on directly after Glee. My kid watched it with me. I think the worst thing a child can see is another person being killed.
We show violence and death on TV and in the movies and even video games, but sex, something everyone will do eventually, is bad?
Go figure.
(And yes, I watch Glee. There, I said it.)
