I spent the night at Lumpini police station a few months ago. Big bosses were away smiling for the cameras as they had just caught a guy who went on a shooting spree and killed his girlfriend. Two young officers on duty were drunk as hell, trying to shake down every farang, saw an older guy, he paid. They were obnoxious, threatening to keep me till monday since it was the w.e, talking about my visa, etc. They would go away come back. I just waited til the morning and called my lawyer. Wasn't too bad apart from them bringing the killer they caught and putting him in the same cell. to be fair he just kept his head down, had other things on his mind. When my lawyer called the same cop was still on duty, half baked excuse that he was letting me go because I'm a good uy but really he looked worried. fucker only understand force.
Funny how the ATM at Lumpini is inside the police station, not outside on the wall or in the entrance but inside.
