I said I wouldn't buy an iPad either. It is, after all, just a giant iPod. But really after using the Motorola Xoom, and a multitude of various Android tablets... with the iPad update to the 2048x1536 screen... it became obvious the giant iPod offered the very best hardware specs and overall performance, and user experience. The overall fluidity of the animations and scrolling is head and shoulders more polished than Android devices.
When you get a chance, put the Transformer Prime TF700t (the most premium Android tablet currently on the market... with the Tegra 3 quad-core processor) next to the iPad 4 and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. My friends who own those tablets didn't even realize their devices had this issue that is painfully obvious when the devices are sitting next to eachother.
