I have several dedicated boxes and a shit ton of shared accounts at various hosts, and by this point a thousand or so domains spread out amongst them. Many have completed sites with traffic, and just as many are sitting there with empty Wordpress installs waiting for me to add content.
Oddly enough in all this time I've never been hacked, even though I tend to slack at keeping Wordpress updated. Today the inevitable happened, and Certified Hosting was quick to catch it. I had a lot of empty Wordpress installs that I just flat out forgot about and didn't update, and one was hacked and used to send out spam. Robert from tech support contacted me right away and was quick to help me get everything updated, and thanks to him the problem was caught before any real damage was done, and if anything more was done I trust them to catch it.
I know, a host is supposed to do this, but I've read enough horror stories about hosts that don't, and you don't find out until your IP is blacklisted. I'm always quick to bitch when a company fucks me, so it's important to give credit when it is due. Thanks Robert and Certified Hosting, and buy some hosting there
http://certifiedhosting.com/ no ref code spamming, no bullshit, and they certainly didn't ask me to do this.
tl;dr I'm a jackass and Certified Hosting fixed it...
