We could barely get from one monument to the next without stumbling over black people putting on "shows" and singing and dancing, etc.

It was pretty fucked up.

And now it's all rich there? They must have cleaned that town up since I visited. It was disgraceful. And the security people told me and my then-wife not to be out after dark because of so much violence (D.C. has a strict gun law...and of course high rate of gun violence. lol )
