Yup, totally sucks. I have an office full of perfectly functioning computers, and yet technically they are all obsolete. I'm looking into buying a new system of two soon, but at the rate computers are upgraded, by this time next year they'll be antiquated as well.

I have a dinosaur that still works great, but is less and less compatible with the world. The reason I got the fucking thing is because I reasoned that it WAS upgradeable. And it is - with the exception of the processors. Fucking Apple. 
I guess it's not entirely their fault. As I understand it, the IBM processors just weren't keeping up with the Intels. They sucked up too much power.
Now I have this 50lb dinosaur that still works well, so long as all I need it to do is run the software that's on it. I have tons of music on it that I can't easily transfer to my iPhone. I'll have to put it all on a portable hard drive, upload it to a Mac with the current OS, and then synch it to my iPhone. PITA! |
