Win8 has a nice native feature for handling multiple displays -- each monitor can have its own indepdent task bar.
Thus, whatever you have open on a given monitor is only in that monitor's task bar, which avoids you having to continually bounce between the primary display's taskbar to the monitor you want the app to appear. Also,m when you close out the program, it remembers what monitor that application was being used on (as does Windows 7). But in a multi-display environment, this works extremely efficiently with independent taskbars.
That independent taskbar feature alone has noticeably increased my productivity.
