Hotels.com Acquisition Complete
Interactive Corp., the electronic commerce company run by Barry Diller, said it completed the acquisition of the 32 percent of Hotels.com it didn't already own for about $1.77 Billion.
Shareholders of Hotels.com, a seller of discounted hotel rooms on the Internet, received 2.4 shares of Interactive for each Hotels.com share they held. That valued Hotels.com at $90.12 per share based on Interactive's Friday closing price. New York-based Interactive was previously known as USA Interactive.
Fuck, now that's what I call successful branding of a domain name.
