I use a Volcano - not cheap (about $600), but totally worth it!
Fortunately I never started smoking cigarettes, but I smoked marijuana practically daily for decades, to the point that it was having a negative effect on my lungs and general health, so I quit for nearly a decade.
The decade or so after I stopped smoking cannabis, I increased substantially my consumption of alcohol. When that too started having a negative impact on my health, I quit alcohol, but took up vaporizing, and consuming cannabis edibles, and I am quite pleased with the effects on my health and mental well-being.

Vapor has a slight odor but it doesn't cling or linger for nearly as long as smoke. It certainly doesn't smell like burning. Vapor delivers full flavor. Because a large percentage of your material is no longer destroyed or floating away in smoke, vaporizing lets you get the most out of your material. One more potential benefit: a vaporizer with a variable temperature control lets you target components that vaporize at different temperatures.

Vaporizing feels way better once you get used to it. There is no pot hangover (people that smoke lots of pot know what I'm talking about), far less unhealthy material impacting your lungs, etc., and it will actually stretch your stash, because vaporizing is way more efficient then burning cannabis, plus the leftover vaped material can be collected and used in making yummy edibles that produce a delightful euphoric high (cannabutter, marijuana brownies, etc).
