Stater Bros Markets is one of the few companies with a boss that will outright tell you that unions are good for his bottom line. They give him better workers. They stick around, they work hard and they are loyal to a fault.
Stater Bros Markets workers have a retirement, medical benefits and a wage that allows them to live with a family free of food stamps or other kinds of handouts. The average checker makes about $15 an hour.
Walmart on the other hand does not have unions. Their workers make minimum wage. Half of a union job. They have no retirement. They have no medical benefits. They live on food stamps and have subsidized housing. When they get sick they go to the county hospital and they rack up thousands in bills. They don't pay said bills.
Who does? You do!
