While I understand the reason we have it, and don't necessarily agree with it in all circumstances what I do not understand is why they LOWER the qualifications.
Shit give the job to a black man, just make sure he meets the SAME qualifications.
I'm sure there are many qualified, educated black men who can do the job 10x's better than someone who gets to slide by on the exam.
Now of course for you of the vagina persuasion, you can change out the word (s) man/men for woman/women ;)

This seems as though it just might have a negative effect.
If you take a less qualified black man just because he happened to apply for the job, instead of waiting out to find a qualified black man and the less qualified black man fails it only proves the concept is a failure.
It only reinforces the negative perception that a lot of people have about affirmative action.
