GSP isn't really old in fighting age. Fighters tend to peak a lot later then most sports. He has experience but he hasn't taken too much damage in his career.

31 years old with 25 pro fights in the last 10 years. Keep in mind he has only stopped 3 opponents since 2007... so most of his fights are going a full five rounds. Add in a decade of training like a maniac and the body starts to break down. I hope he can keep it going for another decade... but the odds are very uphill on that.
