That's fucking BULLSHIT! The country has gone through massive changes - FOR THE BETTER. I'm not going to list them here. Start with the America in 1776 and think it through.
Nothing is static. Change happens constantly. It can be for the better....it can be for the worse. The positive changes that have taken place in America came about for a REASON. People got active. They spoke out. They voted. The abolitionists and the suffragists gave their fucking lives to improve this country, now most assholes can't be bothered to vote, call their congressman, or write a letter to the editor. Most of the country is asleep. The truth is, we're still too comfortable - we have the luxury of not giving a shit. It's terrible.
ELECTIONS MATTER! Anyone who says otherwise just wants to be left alone to beat off.
A good five-knuckle-shuffle is way easier than getting involved.
