I have tried the newer versions of Adobe Premiere, but I LOVE the simplicity of Premiere 6.5 (Not CS6... It'd be like version -1 or -2 if you were trying to fit it into today's naming system).
Since I moved to 64 bit it wouldn't install anymore, so I've setup a dual-boot system with XP 32bit. The only video program on the xp partition is Premiere 6.5.
The program is great alone, but when you start installing other video encoding programs (and AHK) it will cause it to not have a locked line from the program to the file it's making... and when the other programs start doing stuff it introduces black dropouts. It's not like I was using AHK when I was editing... just having it running caused the dropouts.
