My grandfather was in the flint auto workers sit down strike that created the uaw. Those guys locked themselves in the auto plants and carried metal straps covered in leather as weapons. This created huge growth on the middle class in this country the lasted nearly 60 years.
This looks like just a day of boycott to me at the moment. May be a job fair opportunity for scabs to others?
If it actually happens, it could effect the economy negatively for some time, however, if it actually works, it would have huge impacts for the growth of the middle class and most likely, really fucking piss off the Chinese.
WalMart replaced General Motors as the number 1 employer in the united states and now holds the honor of being the number 1 employer in the world.
