I'm sure both sides feel this way, but in my experience the far right wingers have a certain sense of entitlement to them. If they want to take something away from the liberals or prevent the liberals from having something like gay marriage the republicans see it as them doing the lords work, but if the liberals manage to win an election or a victory against the conservatives they act like they are under attack and that their country is being stolen from them.
