They wont stop the annoying bass from your ghetto neighbors, but in my neighborhood I dont have that problem. It makes everything go dead silent and the music is the clearest ever.
You've obviously not tried it at home, or you'd know better. Even when I was flying my own plane which had a single-prop engine, it reduced the noise level by about 80%, and that is clearly not white-noise like in a passenger jet.
