I warned you 3-4 weeks back that you were reading the race all wrong. Could have saved yourself some $$$ if you listened.
The reason most Republicans (you not included Mutt) are so shocked by Romney's loss is that most of them LITERALLY live in a bubble. The leaders of their party have convinced them that anything outside of Fox News, Drudge, Daily Caller, National Review, and Rush Limbaugh should be considered the "Mainstream Media" and are not to be trusted.
So while a lot of America watched the race unfold and recognized the "Mittmentum" for the fraud and campaign gimmick that it really was (A page right out of Rove's playbook. Projecting momentum and inevitability)....a lot of others thought it was a dead heat because they were caught in the bubble.
A fucking thesis could be written on this race. The way that Republicans were in denial about the polls (newsflash: Dems won the partyID dual), the way Rasmussen and Gallup got it so wrong, the way the NeoCons sold a win to the party.

Sure, Karl Rove has a lot of explaining to do to the billionaires that gave him $300 million, but he'll be doing so while counting that 10% consulting fee ($30million bucks) he made off of this thing.
Awesome night. Can't wait for them to all start stabbing each other in the back and the Romney campaign post mortum comes out. Then all of the Repubs will know just how badly they were played.
