In a couple of hundred years, assuming there still is a human race I imagine that they will look at the US dynasty that existed for about 60 years and look to this period of time as about when it ended.

I never realized you were that old. You were building businesses in the 60's? Anyways, while your second paragraph may have some truth, if anything the reason why is that the rest of the world is catching up and big business loves cheap labor. people won't work for pennies here but they will elsewhere. Greed is killing the american lifestyle more than anything. if all products sold in the US were made in the US, they would cost more but there would definitely be more jobs.
