If you buy traffic (like 404 or popup traffic) do NOT send it straight to a sponsor.
If you buy this type of traffic, send it either to your own TGP and use the traffic as fuel for you link trades to get yourself higher traffic coming in that way or send it to a hub site containing an index page (possibly with toplist links and banner exchange codes to get more fresh traffic) that links to a bunch of highly targeted niche FPAs. You want to be sure to filter the heck out of it, because you have NO idea where the traffic is coming from, what niche the surfer was looking for when they got sent your way, etc.
Gallery spot traffic can be good. It's already filtered since they use categories and/or descriptions. Just be sure to tes the gallery with other sources before hand to be sure it converts.
Don't really have experience with buying other kinds.
I don't recommend PPC SEs unless you're experienced with them. They can be good if you have alot of money to risk losing until you learn the system well.
