Actually George, even *I* am impressed. Check this out:
- I went to Apple's website, found the "Segate HD replacement program" and entered by Serial number (found by clicking the Apple logo then "about this mac").
- I was instantly told that my machine qualifies.
- I had questions so I followed the support link (1 click) I entered my phone number onto the website and Apple called me within 30 seconds. Wow!
- I asked if instead of taking the machine to a store, if they could just ship a new hard disk to me and let me swap it myself. They said YES.
- I asked if it is a new hard disk or a refurbished hard disk and they said NEW, with a 5 year warranty.
So now get this. They are shipping the new HD to me, just like that. I don't need to send the old HD back. The entire experience was less than 5 minutes. I was so happy I ordered a solid state Hard Disk as well. Since I have to open it up I'm going to turbo-charge it.
APPLE ROCKS!
