I think what he is pointing out is that his ads attack Obama on his RECORD as president.
Since Obama is the President, he should be running on his record. But he is not. He's instead trying to paint a picture of Romney.
Or as Obama himself said in his acceptance speech for the Dem nomination in 2008:
"If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from. You make a big election about small things. "
Oh the hypocrisy of it all. lol
