Even if you beat the obscenity charges, you are looking at 5 to 10 years mandatory for the 2257 violations.
2257 violations are some type of an administrative violation so there is no pleading not guilty if your records are not perfect. Your guilt is self evident.
So why fight the obscenity charges if you are looking at 5 to 10 years anyways; just plead out and get the best deal you can. A guilty verdict for obscenity allows the gov't to seize your assets related to the business.
The scenario is a win/win for the government. They will bring charges, many cases won't go to trial, and, through seizures, they put adult companies out of business and get a pot load of cash to fund future prosecutions.
Just my best guess....

Are you serious?
Porn isn't everything from double anal and beyond. It starts with people doing sexy stuff. They can be fully clothed. It's about creating an illusion. If a line is drawn that says no genitalia, the softcore market will boom and
NO ONE except in countries we don't care about will ever get a conviction.
How any one draws the line is totally beyond me. I know I'm a dumb know nothing addled brain old timer. But I remember when porn was illegal and there was no Internet. Porn was a wonderful business to be in and very very lucrative. Imagine selling a 1 hour tape for $40 250 to 1,000 times. From your home and having a catalogue of 100s of them.
Astral Blue.
If Romney can achieve the impossible and ban online porn. I would support him and go buy some new cameras.
