If you said to someone that:
the governments decisions are greatly influenced by large corporations and financial interests, and that a lot goes on behind the scenes that the public will never understand, or even WANT to understand, and we don't hear about it because many of those same corporations and financial interests own the media companies that deliver our news.
They might listen to you, and once they did, they'd find little they can argue with.
