I too was hung up on stats. But, Android is a resource hog. It takes 2 times as much ram and processing power as iOS just to boot up and run. Which is why you see Android phones with "better" specs.
My beef with the Galaxy S3 is that there's not much to it and it's made mostly of plastic. It's nice to look at, I was worried it would break easily. Which oddly enough is why I initially stayed away from an iPhone. I have no worries now, as the iPhone now has Gorilla Glass and an aluminium body.
I'm hoping that Samsung does something nice with the S4 when it's released. Plastic crap just doesn't cut it for me. My original Galaxy was a tank and still runs like a clock. I want something more along that line, and the S3 and Note 2 don't measure up in that regard.
